My greatest achievement...<\/h3>\n
My greatest achievement is building and opening my own facial plastic surgery practice after years of refining my techniques and procedures while still maintaining and balancing the time for my wonderful family and lecturing and teaching around the country and world.\u00a0 My current practice is my perfect mix of operating, seeing patients in the office for consults and non-surgical treatments, and traveling to share my skills and passion for the industry.<\/p>\n
The future of my field is: in regenerative medicine...<\/h3>\n
This means using one\u2019s own tissue, like fat, and even stem cells or growth factors to enhance treatments, healing & ultimately results.\u00a0 This is definitely an area of plastic surgery and aesthetics that needs more clinical data and research behind it to create consensus recommendations and treatment guidelines, but many companies are moving in this direction.\u00a0 Is the exciting to think about what the future holds, in this respect.<\/p>\n
The biggest misconception about my field is...<\/h3>\n
That plastic surgeons will do anything that the patients\u2019 want to change or improve their look. In reality, I spend lots of time each day with my patient helping to keep them looking natural and beautiful with my conservative approach.\u00a0 The truth is that our patients are representations of our practice and I try to produce results that I would be proud of in my patients.\u00a0 Sometimes we have to talk our patients out of treatments or procedures that would not be good for them.\u00a0 It is important to set realistic expectations & deliver appropriate results to our patients.<\/p>\n
My most requested procedures are...<\/h3>\n
My most requested procedures are my rhinoplasties or nosejobs.\u00a0 I do multiple rhinoplasties each week in the OR.<\/p>\n

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?<\/h3>\n
I think being able to non-surgically treat and tighten the neck is the holy grail.\u00a0 5 years ago, surgery was the only way to perform lower face and neck tightening.\u00a0 Today, we have energy-based devices like percutaneous radiofrequency to tighten down the lower face & neck tissues without scalpels, sutures or surgery.\u00a0 It will be interesting to see what the next 5-10 years looks like in this regard.<\/p>\n
What are you best known for?<\/h3>\n
I am best known for my endonasal or \u201cscarless\u201d rhinoplasty technique.\u00a0 The endonasal or \u201cclosed\u201d rhinoplasty is an art and the surgeon must have specialized training in order to perform this technique and produce consistent, beautiful and natural results.<\/p>\n
What is your most memorable patient reaction?<\/h3>\n
I have had a number of patients cry tears of joy when I have removed their nasal splints because they have been overwhelmed and excited about their nose results.\u00a0 It is this amazing reaction that makes what I do worth it!<\/p>\n
What sets my practice apart?<\/h3>\n
My practice is focused on providing the most innovative and cutting edge technologies to my patients while still maintaining an individualized and personal touch for each patient.<\/p>\n
What I love most about my profession is...<\/h3>\n
My profession allows me to mix two of my favorites things\u2026art & science.\u00a0 I was a biopsychology & cognitive science major and history of art minor in college and my profession now lets me use both sides of my brain and be analytical and science driven at times while being artistic and creative at other times.<\/p>\n
Career defining procedure?<\/h3>\n
I don\u2019t know if I truly have a career defining procedure at this point.\u00a0 My practice is continuing to grow and I am constantly pushing the envelope and innovating to bring the most up-to-date and exciting new procedures and techniques to my patients.\u00a0 I think I have lots more to come and I am not letting up my drive for greatness.<\/p>\n
What new services are you excited to offer?<\/h3>\n
Opening up my new office, Bloom Facial Plastic Surgery, in September, I am excited about all the services that I am offering my patients from a complete array of facial plastic surgery procedures, to non-invasive & minimally invasive energy-based technologies, numerous injectable treatments, & aesthetician or skin care services.\u00a0 I have assembled a comprehensive team of true experts in the field to meet each of the patients\u2019 individualized needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
