Braces are a thing of the past. With recent advances in technology patients are now seeking alternative options opposed to traditional metal braces. Miami dentist Dr. Neda Bahmadi<\/a>, sat down with Haute Beauty<\/em> to discuss the many benefits of invisible braces and how soon patients can begin seeing results.<\/p>\n

What are invisible braces? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Invisible braces are clear aligners worn daily for about 22 hours a day to move your teeth in order to improve one's smile, bite and malocclusion.<\/p>\n

How do they work? <\/strong><\/p>\n

They have to be worn at all times or they wont work. Patient compliance is the biggest factor with these trays. The invisible aligner will be changed on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on the patient. I monitor each case closely to not be de-routed and make sure the final results are satisfactory.<\/p>\n

Which patients qualify for them? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Clear aligners work best for minor movements, for patients that have had braces in the past but didn't wear their retainers and find themselves with some crowding.<\/p>\n

How quickly can you see results?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Results can be surprisingly seen in less than a year for most patients. Technology and advances in techniques have progressed so much!<\/p>\n

What, if any, are the needed follow up procedures? <\/strong><\/p>\n

We can always have refinements done, some fine tuning at the end, which is included in the package. It is very important, however, to remember to wear those retainers nightly for the rest of your life or your teeth WILL shift.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
