Reese Witherspoon has become the new global brand ambassador for Biossance, a clean beauty brand focused on skincare.
Before becoming Biossance’s newest global brand ambassador, Witherspoon continuously raved about the brand – which happens to make her favorite face oil, Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil.

In an interview with Allure, Witherspoon shared that Biossance’s Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil has been a major part of her skin-care routine. She layers the oil on top of the brand’s Squalane + Omega Repair Cream in order to help her with hyperpigmentation from pregnancy. Witherspoon’s love for Biossance is not only from their products but their science-led approach to clean beauty.
Biossance was created in 2003 with the goal to use innovative biotechnology to make a positive impact on the world. According to their website, the brand creates skincare that is effective and safe without harming the environment or animals.
Biossance prides itself on using a renewable, sugarcane-derived version of squalene – an oil commonly found in the liver of sharks and used to make moisturizers and skincare products – which they call squalane. They are also Green Lab certified, use clean ingredients and formulas within their products, include recyclable packaging, and ensure their company is as eco-friendly as possible.
Their products include Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum, an Anti-Aging Basics Set, Squalane + Rose Vegan Lip Balm, and Squalane + BHA Pore Minimizing Toner amongst many other products listed on their website.

The partnership between Biossance and Witherspoon is fairly new. The brand has stated that Witherspoon will be aiding in creating education skin-care content, curating limited-edition sets, and possibly developing exclusive products as well. Witherspoon’s global brand ambassadorship is set to last five years.
