Dr. Christine Bishara is the founder of From Within Medical, a medical wellness practice that places emphasis on the mind-body and gut-brain axis to prevent and manage disease. Diagnosing and treating the imbalances allows each patient to heal and feel their best internally, while simultaneously looking their best externally.

HB: How did you come up with the idea for the Virtual Peel™?

During the pandemic, in-office skin peels could not be performed. Many people were missing the beatiful skin achieved after a face peel. So…. the Virtual Peel™ was born. I started doing virtual consultations where I would guide my patients to safely apply the peel themselves with step by step instruction on a video call.

HB: Walk us through the process of the Virtual Peel™, and how customers are able to get medical guidance at home.

To safely achieve the same great results obtained from in-office medical-grade peels, we have our potential patient complete a simple, pre-screening process by email. I am then able to determine who would be a candidate and which peel formulation is safe to use. We then schedule a virtual video consultation where I directly guide my patient in applying the peel.

HB: What issues does the Virtual Peel™ work to address?

The Virtual Peel™ is great for many skin conditions. It is a medical-grade peel so it’s very effective on:

• Hyperpigmentation. Whether that’s from years of sun exposure or just one summer’s worth, the Virtual Peel™ can help diminish sun spots and improve uneven skin tone.

• Lines and wrinkles. The peel stimulates collagen production and helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles.

• Acne. We have a specific acne formula that can be used for all types of acne.

• Skin rejuvenation. Because the peels contain brightening agents, they can be done for routine skin rejuvenation or to achieve glowing skin before a big event.

Our office uses the VI Peel because it is safe and has many different formulations based on specific skin needs.

HB:  How can customers purchase the Virtual Peel™?

They can email our office directly at info@fromwithinmedical.com. After a quick pre-screen to make sure there are no contraindications, we ship them the peel and schedule a virtual step by step application and guidance with me.

HB: What is the cost?

The peel normally costs between $350-$450, but since the Virtual Peel™ can be done from the comfort of your own home, it eliminates some unnecessary fees and therefore costs $250-$300.

HB: How long do the results last?

Results can last up to a year. This depends on the specific treatment needed, but we usually recommend doing a peel two to three times a year to maintain that bright, healthy glow. Results can also be maintained for longer periods with topical retinoid skin solutions.
