- Bio Does James Franco sleep? At the age of 35, he’s hosted the Oscars, written several books, made his debut in dance theatre and released a single with his band, Daddy. He also taught a class at NYU in feature filmmaking as well as a class in short film production at USC and a course in screenwriting at UCLA. He is currently a PhD candidate at Yale and, oh yes, lest we forget, he’s also an Academy Award nominee.
