- Bio James Coulter continues to rule as a leader in private equity. He cofounded one of the world’s largest private equity firms, TPG Capital, which is based in San Francisco, Calif. and Forth Worth, Texas. The firm has invested in more than 100 companies such as Neiman Marcus, US Airways Group and J.Crew. Coulter is also Co-Chair of the Leading Education by Advancing Digital (LEAD) Commission.
