- Bio Queens native Andrew Cuomo is the 56th Governor of New York. He previously served as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1997 to 2001 and as the Attorney General of New York from 2007 to 2010. Since entering office, Cuomo has been hard at work on his five-point plan to build a “new” New York that will include stabilizing the financial problems, increasing jobs and “restoring honor and integrity to the state government.”
