- Bio Mr. Malnik created The Forge Restaurant 40 years ago which is now the second oldest restaurant in South Florida, after Joe’s Stone Crab. Malnik, who was an attorney and has developed many properties, is a very serious philanthropist and is the founder of Mount Sinai Medical Center and founder of the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He only person that has ever achieved “Life-time” Benefactor of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of South Florida for his donations that exceed $5 million.
