Barneys New York To Open Freds Restaurant In Copley Place This Fall

Luxury retailer Barneys New York will be bringing even more swankier style to their Copley Place location this fall when they open their newest restaurant, Freds at Barneys New York.

The Back Bay dining haute spot is the sixth addition to the collection of stylish Freds restaurants located in New York, Beverly Hills, Chicago and San Francisco. As for the menu, expect to find “Italian-inspired” dishes and “contemporary American” fare as well as Freds classics and some plates that focus on local Boston purveyors. One of their highly anticipated offerings includes the limited time collaborations, which in the past have featured a Designer Burger Series highlighting designers Alexander Wang, Martha Stewart, Thom Browne and Rick Owens.

Located on the store’s second floor, Freds will be serving up lunch and dinner as well as offering lunch takeout service (the first of its kind). The spacious spot will be large enough to accommodate more than 120 diners and will be decked out in modern luxury details (think mixed metals, wood accents, warm hues of blue and green and large windows overlooking the Back Bay neighborhood). The space, which was designed by Studio ORO with Lalire March Architects, will also feature a custom Abba grey marble bar as the centerpiece where guests can sip on hand-crafted and exclusive cocktails.

Freds at Barneys New York will be opening at 100 Huntington Avenue in Boston. The restaurant will be a welcome addition to the 800,000-square foot mixed-use shopping destination joining high end retailers like Neiman Marcus, Tiffany & Co., David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Versace and Christian Louboutin.

Barneys New York also recently announced another future location for Freds at Barneys New York within its new flagship at American Dream in New Jersey, set to open in late 2019.
