Last night, the usually sleepy streets of Noe Valley were alive with excitement at the official opening of SkinSpirit. The 24th Street medspa is the second SkinSpirit in San Francisco, but the ninth location overall. Cofounders Lynn Heublein and Dr. M. Dean Vistnes were at the party mingling with guests and discussing their latest innovated treatments. The event was hosted by Sobia Shaikh, Katie Traina, and Meghan Harris, and it honored local nonprofit Compass Family Services.

With 12 different treatment rooms and an expansive back deck, the new SkinSpirit is massive. The decor is clean, airy, and bright—everything you would expect from a pioneer in the medspa industry. SkinSpirit offers noninvasive face and body treatments: facials, dermaplaning, IPL, laser hair removal, coolsculpting, Botox, and much more.

One new treatment that’s only available in the Noe Valley location is Emsculpting. The first and only FDA-approved non-invasive way to build muscle and sculpt the stomach and buttocks, Emsculpt is a 30-minute treatment with no pain and no downtime. Through high-intensity electromagnetic pulses, a unique device contracts the muscles. The procedure is the equivalent to doing 20,000 crunches or squats—depending on if it’s placed on the stomach or buttocks. A series of four treatments is recommended for best results.

Emsculpt doesn’t hurt; however, the sensation can be weird-feeling and causes the body to contract or laugh unexpectedly. It’s an ideal option for those looking to shed that last little bit of fat and get the toned and fit appearance of an avid exerciser. Guests at the packed party got to witness the new procedure first hand. Emsculpting was one of the demonstrations taking place in a treatment room. Event goers wandered from room to room watching a treatment in action and were able to ask questions and interact with the esthetician.

The Josh Sauvignon Blanc flowed, and the stylish crowd enjoyed passed appetizers like tuna tartare in wonton cups and a spread of cheese and crudites. The goodie bags were hot commodities, and everyone booked some treatment—all services were 20% for one night only! Notables in attendance included Allison Speer and Allison Pincus.
