Louis Vuitton Debuts New Objets Nomades Pieces At Design Miami/

Objets Nomades always comes with some of the most gorgeous but functional furniture and home pieces made by the world’s most renowned and talented designers. In addition to featuring the Campana Brothers, Barber & Osgerby, India Mahdavi, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders and André Fu, the collection now has pieces made by Atelier Biagetti and others. The marry each designer’s vision with the Maison’s savior-fair, and now includes Les Petits Nomades—a selection of smaller decorative items.

At Design Miami/ 2018, two new tables made their debuts: the glass-topped “Anemona Table,” by Atelier Biagetti—made by designer Alberto Biagetti and artist Laura Baldassari‚ and Atelier Oï‘s “Serpentine Table.” The “Anemona Table” has a unique and eye-catching rippled base with a blue lacquer interior and soft beige exterior—an ode to the Adriatic Sea near the designers’ hometown of Ravenna and the flowing costumes of the La Scala Opera House. The “Serpentine Table” has a beveled glass top with a criss-cross base, made its smooth American walnut supported with blue LV leather straps. The piece is inspired by the “free-flowing movements of traditional dances,” per the brand, and serves as a large dining or coffee table.

For Les Petits Nomades, the hand-blown “Blossom Vase” by Tokujin Yoshioka makes its debut. It has clean lines but also pays homage to the House’s classic Monogram pattern, available in clear or black glass from master artisans in Murano, Italy. Other items included the newly interpreted Campana Brothers‘ “Cocoon Swing Chair” and André Fu‘s “Ribbon Dance Chair.”

Louis Vuitton and its Chairman/CEO, Michael Burke also hosted select VIPs for a gorgeously appointed cocktail party at Miami Beach’s Cecconi’s restaurant, where guests enjoyed sips of tasty cocktails, Champagne and light hors d’oeuvres.
