With waterfront views and access to fresh seafood all year round, Miami offers some of the best Mediterranean cuisine around. Whether you’re looking for a gourmet table-side presentation or inventive fusion dishes, each of these haute spots offers 5-star cuisine and a stellar atmosphere to enjoy the food at its best. Here’s our top picks of where to find the best of the cuisine in the city:

1 Milos by Costas Spiliadis

Milos is perhaps one of the most acclaimed Mediterranean restaurants across the board in the U.S., and the Miami outpost certainly keeps with its prestigious reputation. Located in the SoFi area, the beautiful restaurant is decorated with earthy tones and white billowing curtains, keeping with the romantic, Mediterranean vibe. The star of the show is of course the fresh selection of fish presented daily, which comes to the guests with a special table-side presentation before the dish is artfully presented.

2 Byblos

Byblos
Byblos brings a unique Middle Eastern fusion cuisine to Miami Beach, with an inventive menu of mouth-watering, Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant has a beautiful, colorful Moroccan feel to it and all dishes and cocktails keep with the theme as they are presented at each table. The green Marrakesh Garden cocktail is a must-try (it tastes just like a fresh-pressed juice), as well as the famous Truffle Pide dish, which is worth the cheat day. Other standouts include the lamb ribs, hamachi and the fried chicken with jeweled rice.

The gorgeous Miami Design District restaurant is so authentic, you feel like you're actually walking into a small cafe in the middle of Greece. With dim twinkling lighting and candles aglow, the romantic atmosphere paired with the delicious cuisine makes Mandolin one of Miami's all-time favorite Mediterranean haute spots. Make sure to try a pitcher of the home-made sangria and pair it with the light and refreshing Greek Village Salad and a Whole Mediterranean Sea Bass or Lamb Chops to complete the experience.
