A slew of Tinseltown’s favorites are collaborating on a brand new print publication.

On Thursday, July 1st, fans could look forward to seeing Meryl Streep, Ed Ruscha, Jake Gyllenhaal, Patti Smith and Rick Owen, to name a few, who will appear in and have collaborated on the first-ever issue of NeueJournal, a NeueHouse print publication featuring original work from visionary creators in the worlds of art, film, fashion, science and more.

The stunning photos were captured by renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe, who has been friends with Streep since 1978 when the two met on the set of Kramer vs. Kramer.

Streep has been vocal about feeling uncomfortable when being photographed. However when your friend of more than three decades is an esteemed photographer, those feelings tend to be at ease. In the first-ever issue, Streep says, “Being photographed by her [Lacombe] is the only time I don’t mind being photographed—in other situations I feel like a performing elephant,” she writes. “I feel like I don’t have to do anything. She does all the work.

The publication will debut with a lush gallery of portraits taken by Lacombe and will feature artists like Robin Wright, Oscar Isaac and Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as artists Ed Ruscha, Mary Heilmann and Frank Stella. There will be a series of seven different covers. Headed by editor-in-chief Michelle Grey and creative director Dominic Teja Sidh, NeueJournal plans to be a space that showcase original content created by the proflic visionaries of the world.

It’s parent company, NeueHouse, is a membership-only social club and creative workspace, was founded by Joshua Abram and Alan Murray and is touted as the “ideal” working environment for today’s creatives. It will house its operations in LA in the historic Columbia Square CBS Radio Building and Studio on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
