Cara Delevingne Launches Burberry’s Snapchat

After much anticipation and teasers, luxury British brand Burberry has joined Snapchat ahead of its flagship launch in L.A today, named the London in Los Angeles Party. Helped out by model Cara Delevingne who posed for the first images on the account, Burberry is one of the first luxury brands to be joining the popular social media service.

The news comes ahead of today’s celebration of Burberry’s first L.A flagship, which will see a host of celebrities join the brand at the iconic Griffith Observatory overlook in the city to mark its debut there. Sunset cocktails will be followed by mens and womenswear shows and performances, as well as models such as Jourdan Dunn, Charlotte Wiggins, Amber Anderson and Ella Richards showing off the latest Fall 2015 collection, along with a special capsule range made exclusively at the Rodeo Drive boutique.

Celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, David and Victoria Beckham and Ryan Seacrest are all expected to attend, as well as brand ambassador Delevingne herself, who helped the brand launch its Snapchat presence. The 22-year-old has been modelling for Burberry since 2011 and has fronted a campaign with Kate Moss in December 2014 for the My Burberry fragrance. The model posed for Burberry’s first Snapchat images in a series of cheeky bathroom shots at Chateau Marmont commenting that, “This time last year I was at Burberry’s show in Shanghai, but it sounds like they’ve taken it to the next level.”

With its Snapchat account now open, Burberry will be posting pictures and live streaming today’s event to the public with exclusive behind the scenes peeks, including a look at the garden party that is due to close the celebrations this evening.
