In this new age of Hollywood, no actress defines the term “leading lady” quite like Jessica Chastain. The actress has taken tinsel town by storm with roles in films like InceptionZero Dark Thirty and most recently, A Most Violent Year, so It’s only fitting that the actress would settle on an NYC abode that’s steeped in film and theater history. The actress recently snatched up a dreamy $5.1 million place at the famous Osborne Apartments on West 57th Street with boyfriend Gina Luca Passi de Preposulo.

The four-bedroom, 3 ½-bath residence was once owned by legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, and it is said that that the composer wrote the songs in “West Side Story” with Stephen Sondheim while living there in the ’50s. The hallways of the Osborne apartment building are also said to have served as the inspiration for the setting of Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby.
