After the 350-person De Grisogono dinner at the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, everybody flew to London for the Animal Ball. The ball was given by the Elephant Family and Habitat for Humanity at the Lancaster House near St James’ Palace. Dedicated to protecting Asian elephants and their habitat, the charity raises vital funds to save this endangered species through award-winning art events. The event was hosted by Charles, the Prince of Wales.

Guests wore animal masks created by top fashion designers and artists, including Christian Lacroix, Matthew Williamson, Diane von Furstenberg, Cartier, Swarovski and Manolo Blahnik. Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra perfomed throughout the night. After drinks in the garden of Lancaster House, guests went inside, where all the rooms were decorated as either jungle, safari or rainforest. Later a silent auction was held for the Lancaster Collection, a series of twenty animal sculptures and one-off creations by leading artists like Jack Vettriano, Marc Quinn and the Chapman brothers.

Guests included Cara and Poppy Delevingne, Joanna Lumley, Ben Elliott, Henry Wyndham, Jerry Hall, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, Paloma Faith, Mario Testino, and Christian Louboutin.
