Jay-Z

Jay-Z Signs Geno Smith to Roc-Nation Sports

New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith recently signed with Jay-Z’s newly launched agency, Roc Nation Sports. Smith, 22, fired his agents at Select Sports shortly after the NFL draft. The athlete met with a handful of agents before choosing Jay-Z’s agency, which is partnered with Creative Artists Agency. Despite Jay-Z’s celebrity status, Smith insists that partnering with a hip-hop megastar didn’t play “that big of a role” in his final decision. “I think it’s just his agency,” Smith explains. “When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it’s a good move. My mother and my family were comfortable with it, and I’m comfortable with it. I’m just going to move on from there. It’s not going to be a big deal.”

“I am excited about the plans to build a world-class golf center along the beautiful Mediterranean coast.”

Donald Trump Building World-Class Golf Course in Israel

After years of delay, real estate mogul Donald Trump is planning to build a 210-acre world-class golf course along the Mediterranean coast. The 18-hole course will be adjacent to the Nitzanim Nature Reserve and will include 650 hotel recreation units, a convention hall, country club and commercial space.

“I am excited about the plans to build a world-class golf center along the beautiful Mediterranean coast,” Trump wrote in a letter to Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin. “I have great affection for Israel and its people, and I believe that Israel is a worthy place to be included in the list of communities which host Trump golf centers.”

Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony Wins NBA Scoring Title

Carmelo Anthony is the first New York Knicks player since Bernard King in the 1984-1985 season to win a scoring title for the NBA. The 28-yearold athlete finished the season as the league’s top scorer for the first time in his 10-year NBA career.

“I think it’s great. It’s a nice individual award, but I know Melo is thinking bigger than the scoring title,” said Knicks coach Mike Woodson. Anthony has averaged 36.9 points in the eight games since April 1. Guess all that Isotonix® Champion Blend Plus has been working!

Stewart Rahr Donates $350,000 Through Online Trivia Game

Stewart Rahr isn’t playing around! The 67-year-old eccentric billionaire recently donated more than $350,000 to charity through an online trivia game he’s been playing with his friends. “I love u all n wish u all to have fun & help ur favorite charity,” Rahr wrote in a group email to his famous friends including Mark Wahlberg, Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio and Demi Moore.

In each email, Rahr attached a photo and trivia question and asked his contacts to reply with the correct answer. “$10,000 I will donate to your favorite charity to the first 5 people who correctly guess who the guy in the middle is,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself, Tony Blair and Theresa Wilson.

As responses came flooding in, Rahr sent out additional emails with more challenging questions. “For 5,000$ to each of the first 5 friends who identify #1 The person and #2 What was the event where pic was taken. Good luck & have fun!!” he continued. “$5,000 to the charity of your choice to the first 5 of u that identify the person on right PLUS the painter of the painting in the middle,” he wrote in another email containing a photo of LL Cool J standing beside a Picasso painting.

Governor Andrew Cuomo Signs Book Deal

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is planning to pen “a full and frank account” about his private life and the “profound moments” of his first term in office. The 55-year-old Democrat recently signed a book deal with publishing giant HarperCollins.

Cuomo’s book will hit shelves next year, right around the same time as Hillary Rodham Clinton’s. Cuomo served as secretary of Housing and Urban Development during President Bill Clinton‘s administration and as New York’s attorney general for four years before becoming governor in 2010. One of his most notable career achievements was signing legislation allowing gay couples to marry in the state. He also helped secure financial aid for victims of Superstorm Sandy and signed gun control legislation following the deadly Newtown elementary school shooting.
