Out With Alisa: ‘Tis the Season for Parties

This week began with a small private dinner given by Denise Rich at Le Petit Maison. Guests included Dee and Tommy Hilfiger, Paula and Arnold Rosenshein, John and Jenny Paulson, Michelle and Frank Rella and Bonnie Evans.

The next day, Michele and Larry Herbert took over the private room at the gorgeous Four Seasons New York’s restaurant to host a private Christmas party for about 200 guests. The room had been decorated with snowflakes and white crystal lights, with stunning snow-covered trees throughout. Michele, who used to be a professional dancer, gave everyone a wonderful surprise when she hit the dance floor with the evening’s performers. Guests included Denise Basso, Fawaz Gruosi, Thomas Leclercq, Lisa Tchenguiz and Nathalie von Bismarck.

On Wednesday night, Donna and Tommy D’Cruz closed down Amy Sacco’s Bungalow 8 for their private Christmas party. Donna, who is known around the world as a great DJ, performed and got everybody dancing all night long. Among the guests was TV’s famous Dr. Mehmet Oz, Janna Bullock, Bonnie Evans and Lucia Gordon.

Then on Friday night, I hosted a dinner party at the Harvard Club with the help of Shiv Khemka and Colin Cowie. Our two hundred guests had a three-course meal before dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Yacine. Our guests included Ramona and Mario Singer, Bonnie Evans, Janna Bullock,  Bob Pittman, Michele and Larry Herbert, Sonja Morgan and William Rothschild.

Finally, on Saturday night Keith Lieberthal hosted a party with Julianna Margulies at the Bowery Ballroom to toast Eric Gordon. The 1960’s-themed party for 500 people began with food and drink on the first floor. Then at midnight we went up to the second floor, where a stage had been set up for a surprise performance by Guns N’ RosesSugar Ray and the Sex Pistols. Among the guests enjoying the show were Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick, Matt Dillon, Gina Gershon and Steven Fisher. We stayed ’til 4AM, when all the departing guests were gifted with a Casio digital camera. It was the perfect end to a very full week of celebrations!
