This week’s Christmas lunch schedule was very busy. On Monday, I was invited to Maria Buccellati’s birthday party and Christmas lunch. Among the guests were Ann Dexter Jones (mother of Samantha and Charlotte Ronson), designer Nicole Miller, Cynthia Ott, Michelle Rella and Donna D’Cruz.
Tuesday brought Brenda Von Schweickhardt’s Christmas Luncheon at the Waldorf Astoria. This was Brenda’s second annual luncheon in the Grand Ballroom, and this year we got an extra treat thanks to an exclusive preview of Pamella Roland’s Spring 2013 collection, with makeup by Laura Mercier and hair by the John Barrett Salon. The models were adorned with Chopard jewelry Chopard as they strutted down the double runway wearing. The collection consisted of jaw-dropping sequin dresses, silk chiffon gowns, macro beaded tops, peplum dresses, crystal beaded collars and much more. Guests included Dee Hilfiger, Agatha Herrera, Michelle Rella and Paula Rosenshein.
On Wednesday, Lucia Gordon hosted a Christmas lunch at Amaranth. Once again we toasted the lovely Maria Buccellati’s birthday, with guests including Nicole Miller, Linda Fargo, Vivienne Tam, Celia Chou and Janna Bullock.
The next day, Stacey Shabtai Cooper hosted the gorgeous Di Modolo Christmas lunch at the Core Club. Guests were lucky enough to receive one of Di Modolo’s gorgeous pieces (and of course another birthday toast for Maria, whom we love). Among the guests were Ivana Trump, Cynthia Ott, Michelle Rella, Donna D’Cruz and Jane Schindler.
Last but certainly not least was Janna Bullock’s annual Doubles Christmas luncheon. Every year, Janna closes down the Doubles restaurant for her Womens Christmas Luncheon. Guests included Diandra Douglas, Dee Hilfiger, Somers Farkas, Kimberly Rockefeller, Felicia Taylor, Sharon Bush, Nicole Miller, Tiffany Dubin and Karen le Frack.
