Haute Fashion Daily: The Peplum’s Haute Fashion Comeback
First introduced by Dior in the 1950s, the peplum has been adorned by some of the world’s most famous actresses. Now, the peplum is popping up on runways around the world and women everywhere are loving the comeback.
Though to an untrained eye, the peplum could be confused with a flounce or pleat, but fashionistas know that a peplum is usually tight fitting around the waits and larger on the hips in order to make your hips look more curvy. The peplum can be mixed and matched with numerous outfits, including tops, shirts, casual, formal, pants and jeans.
