Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Models, Music and Bling
The Victoria’s Secret Angels hit a glittering runway in New York last night for the company’s annual fantasy-themed lingerie fashion show. As always, it was the sexiest catwalk in the world—featuring not just the most beautiful supermodels on earth, but performances from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 and, causing an outbreak of excitement in the crowd, a surprise performance by Jay-Z.
The always-stunning Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr rocked the London Jewelers designed Fantasy Treasure Bra— a spectacular creation by Candy and Randi Udell of London Jewelers, worth $2.5 million. The new mom received a standing ovation as she closed the show, looking absolutely jaw dropping in the blinged-out bra comprised of nearly 3400 precious gems.
Haute Living caught up with the beautiful Angel Alessandra Ambrosio backstage. She dished about her pre-show workout regimen—yoga, Pilates, or gym every single day for the two weeks before, and a healthy but nourishing diet. Her make-up artist told us that this year’s look is all about the eyes; heavy, smoked out eyes but the rest of the face and body were left natural— he demonstrated this by sweeping a hand along the Angel’s leg and revealing a lack of glitter or shimmer. Ambrosio revealed plans to celebrate with the rest of the Angels post-show, and hopes of eating French fries at Matisse for lunch before she leaves New York. But the hautest place in New York, according to Alessandra Ambrosio, is backstage with the Angels.
