On June 24th, £10 launched inside Montage Beverly Hills with an exquisite balcony overlooking the Beverly Canon Gardens. The exclusive lounge derives its name from the Scottish Ten Pound note, which features a rendering of The Macallan distillery’s beautiful copper stills.
The launch event brought out a stylish crowd including TV stars Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs from community and Jesse Spencer from House. Guests enjoyed drams from a range of The Macallan expressions, including The Macallan 18 chilled with a perfectly spherical ice ball from The Macallan signature ice ball machine. Throughout the evening, partygoers sampled a few of £10’s signature menu options curated by Montage Chef Gabriel Ask and Scarpetta’s Scott Conant including aged bison tartare, parmesan-almond crusted foiegrastorchon and tuna and yellow tail tartare.
Located above Scarpetta restaurant, £10 specializes in the world-renowned Single Malt whisky of The Macallan. The classically prepared cocktails feature only the world’s finest spirits and ingredients, complimented by a delectable offering of premium snacks and hors d’oeuvres. Service is club style with a focus on the traditions of classic mixed drinks and cocktails. At £10 guests will have the opportunity to sample some of The Macallan’s rarest and most prized expressions including The Macallan 57 Years Old in Lalique and The Macallan Fine & Rare Vintage 1951.
Reservations are required. Priority reservations are offered to hotel guests and house account holders. The bar itself is very intimate and only seats 35 people.
