The 53-year-old actor boasts extraordinary chest muscles; at one point, he even created a collegiate course titled \u201cPec Popping 101.\u201d Hilarious and genius, Crews certainly knows a thing or two about staying fit and recently shared his diet secrets with <\/span>Men\u2019s Health<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First, Crews swears by this tip to maintain his glorious six-pack: fasting. <\/span>\u201cWhen I wake up, the first thing I do is have a glass of water...and I put amino acid powder inside \u2014 I like to call it stardust,\u201d he told Men\u2019s Health. \u201cI drink that all morning and afternoon. And, then I\u2019m off to the races.\u201d Speaking of \u201craces,\u201d he means his workout routine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And though Crews loves his cup of morning Joe, he drinks his coffee without sugar or cream <\/span>\u2014 just coconut oil because it replenishes his body with the \u201chealthy fats\u201d he needs in a fasting cycle. Then, he packs on the protein in the form of eggs and bacon, but he adds a salad on the side. If he wants to switch it up, the actor opts for a charcuterie board comprised of salami, cheeses, bread, and almonds (another source of healthy fats).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Five o\u2019clock calls for a protein shake, which serves as the actor\u2019s pick-me-up before dinner because he works in the morning during his fasting period. Then, it\u2019s time for Crews\u2019 go-to dinner that\u2019s loaded with carbs: \u201cUsually between seven or eight, I\u2019ll have a delicious meal, which is not <\/span>ketogenic<\/span>. I\u2019ll have my bread; I\u2019ll have some pasta. [But], a great dinner for me would be bison ribeye, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the day, Crews will satisfy his sweet tooth with a slice of cheesecake or two. Like dinner, his dessert remains filled with fats thanks to the almond flour he uses \u2014 don\u2019t worry, he said you can\u2019t tell the difference.<\/span><\/p>\n
