Dr. Shah Vira<\/strong><\/a> is an eyelid and oculoplastics expert, board-certified in ophthalmology, and fellowship-trained in oculoplastics. She specializes in all facets of oculoplastic surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow lifts, mid-face lifts, cosmetic injectables such as Botox Cosmetic, and Xeomin, and more. As an oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Shah Vira is committed to giving every patient fantastic, natural, and lasting results.<\/em><\/p>\n

What is your greatest achievement?<\/h3>\n

Professionally it has been creating a direct specialty care practice and bringing back the patient-physician relationship as it once was and how it should be.<\/p>\n

What is the future of your field?<\/h3>\n

Medicine is constantly evolving. Surgery is constantly progressing. New developments are helping create minimal invasive techniques to improve different conditions where previously surgery was the only option.<\/p>\n

What is the biggest misconception about your field?<\/h3>\n

You won't look like yourself. One of the most important pieces in a cosmetic procedure is keeping your look natural.<\/p>\n

What are your most requested procedures?<\/h3>\n

Even before the Zoom Boom, upper eyelid surgery has been the most requested. The removal heaviness of droopy eyelid skin can make you feel refreshed and look younger.<\/p>\n

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?<\/h3>\n

Minimally invasive surgical techniques and new medications (no surgery!) for droopy eyelids.<\/p>\n

What are you best known for?<\/h3>\n

Personalized care, great communication with patients, and fantastic surgical results.<\/p>\n

What is your most memorable patient reaction?<\/h3>\n

When I've been told I changed the way they see the world!<\/p>\n

What sets your practice apart?<\/h3>\n

With a direct care practice, patients always communicate directly with me as the physician, whenever they call.<\/p>\n

What do you love most about your profession?<\/h3>\n

Being able to make patients feel more confident and satisfied<\/p>\n

What is your career-defining procedure?<\/h3>\n

Removing a tumor in the eye socket that was causing vision loss and restoring vision.<\/p>\n
