Michael J. Yaremchuk, M.D. is an internationally recognized plastic and craniofacial surgeon whose principles of facial balance and a natural look guide his work with each individual patient. Dr. Yaremchuk practices a full range of plastic surgery services, including facial and eyelid rejuvenation, facial implant surgery, rhytidectomy or “facelift” surgery and rhinoplasty. In addition to facial surgery, he performs a full spectrum of other cosmetic surgeries including liposuction and breast augmentation.
Yet, as a craniofacial surgeon, Dr. Yaremchuk specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and facial skeleton. And his research laboratory focuses on the potential of bioengineered tissues and transplantation to enhance or reconstruct the face and facial skeleton. He pioneered “bespoke” plastic surgery, or the practice of customizing each of his patients’ facial implants and using implants to achieve dramatic results more typically associated with extensive facial skeletal surgeries. He is regularly sought out by patients who are displeased with the results of their prior cosmetic surgery procedures and is recognized for his treatment of post- traumatic facial deformities as well. He knows how to correct imbalances and irregularities. He is the number one worldwide expert in custom facial implants and reconstructive surgery. He has been certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. His mission and mantra is clear, “My goal is to impact the facial balance. I use the ideal facial blueprint- using anthropometric measurements, science, elements of nature and rational thought. I use proportion of parts and elements of symmetry to guide my work with each individual patient. With this repertoire, imperfect features or faces can be reconstructed or rejuvenated to make a balanced whole.”
As a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Harvard Medical School and Program Director for Harvard’s Plastic Surgery training program, Dr. Yaremchuk has authored three textbooks, more than 40 book chapters, and over 100 scientific articles. His work has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, the E! network, Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, Self and The Huffington Post (where he maintains a regular blog on plastic surgery issues and trends). Dr. Yaremchuk is a frequent invited lecturer at premier medical conferences and renowned medical universities all over the world, including China, Germany, Korea and recent engagements in 2016 in Brazil and Australia and of course, within the United States. In fact, in 2012, he had received prestigious visiting professor invitations at 10 major US medical centers.
Dr. Yaremchuk received his M.D. from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and his B.A. from Yale College. After completing his plastic surgery training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, he was invited to join the hospital’s full-time staff as Associate Director of Plastic Surgery for the Maryland Shock Trauma Institute. While there, he helped redefine the institute’s methods of treatment for severe injuries to the face and facial skeleton. Dr. Yaremchuk subsequently completed a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is currently Chief of Craniofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital and a Clinical Professor of surgery at the Harvard Medical School.

"Everybody tells me that even after 2 years I have the best facelift they have ever seen. I know many of my friends and acquaintances have gone to see you. I hope some have actually gone ahead with the surgery. It makes such a difference in one's life.”
"I had an informal high school reunion recently, and though no one noticed the surgery, I felt some of my friends were, somehow, in "awe" of me. I felt they treated me better than before, and they respected me more. I felt like a real leader. I notice [second patient] is now more confidant, too. She has enjoyed shopping for new clothes to fit her new and improved physique. Her eyelid and nose look more natural and her chin more feminine. We thank you."
"It's been a little over a month since my surgery and I'm just writing to say thank you very much for all the hard work you've done for me so many times already! I can only imagine how difficult it is trying to fix something that already turned into solid scarring instead of normal tissues after too many surgeries! I really don't know what would've happened to my face if I didn't find you!"
- This patient received revisional cosmetic surgery from Dr. Yaremchuk to correct deformities created during previous experiences with other plastic surgeons
"I am so pleased with the results. The swelling has gone down alot. And I really look so good. And I know it will get even better with time. I still don't look exactly Iike I did before any surgery, but I did not expect that because of the previous operations. My forehead is still slightly higher than before. But I am very happy with what you could do. Thank you. The Lord has blessed you with a great skill to help people."
"I know I'll have much more to thank you for as my recovery progresses – but I want to thank you now for doing my surgery and to tell you how much I appreciate your expertise and care. I felt I was in good hands and therefore was not too nervous. I'm grateful and very much appreciate your kindness in fixing my deviated septum along with my other nose imbalances. Your staff have been very helpful as well. Marge is incredibly pleasant to talk with by phone and the office staff and nurses have been very nice and quick to answer questions and concerns. Jan, who I consider "my" nurse, is sweet, efficient and attentive. Mary was great too as was the anesthesiologist who smoothly kept me in ‘la la land’ while you worked your magic."
- This patient underwent rhinoplasty surgery
"I'm absolutely delighted with the outcome. Not just because the changes have made a vast improvement to my looks, but that not a single person has ever questioned me regarding PS. I could never have imagined my look could change so much, yet so discreetly. Fantastic. I can't believe how great my eyes feel. I always thought I had allergies and that was why they hurt and burned so much. I am thrilled! The best part is not only do they feel great they look great too! Thank you Dr, Yaremchuk. The whole experience was wonderful. You have a great staff as well. As for the lip injection I would appreciate your discerning eye. If you feel i shouldn't trust your judgement as I did when you recommended not doing the ULB. You are truly an artist."
