After watching Lebron James lead the Miami Heat to a NBA championship win, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is dead set on winning the title that has eluded him. Many hoops fans think Anthony is the best player that has never won a championship. “I believe that my time is coming,” Anthony said in an ESPN interview. “I’m a big believer in that, whether it’s this year or next year.” To prepare for his trip to the top, not to mention the London Olympics next month, Anthony has shed 12 pounds and is recalibrating his training methods with Knicks coach Mike Woodson. “Me and coach Woodson talk, and me and the training staff talk, and there are some things that they would like to see coming back into this season,” he says.
Knicks center Tyson Chandler and last season’s breakout phenom Jeremy Lin are Anthony’s primary training partners.
