Beyonce again declared her love for Michelle Obama over the weekend, this time by releasing a video of herself reading an ode to the First Lady that she wrote in April. The pop superstar says Obama is “the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman..No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope, she’s humble, loving, and sincere.”
Beyonce and Obama’s mutual admiration is no secret. The singer performed at one of Barack Obama’s inaugural balls, covering Etta James’ “At Last.” (James was reportedly incensed that the new First Couple didn’t ask her to perform.) And in May, the First Lady took her two daughters to a Beyonce concert that kicked off the new Revel resort and casino in Atlantic City.
