Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will celebrate their fifteenth wedding anniversary this year in a rather unconventional way. Though crystal is the typical gift of choice after 15 years, this power couple plan on giving one another something far less expensive: high fives.
But there’s a reason that the successful duo plan on swapping nothing more than a little skin. Jada, for one, believes that they don’t need to commemorate their big day in December with bells and whistles, as their relationship feels like “just the beginning.”
She said: “Fifteen years! It’s amazing, isn’t it? I was just doing the Today show, and there was a couple there who was celebrating 59 years of marriage, and I thought to myself, ’15 years ain’t nothing, you know?’ It’s just the beginning. That’s the way I look at it.”
The Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted actress added: “You know, we celebrate throughout the year. But usually on our wedding anniversary, we give ourselves a high-five and go, ‘We survived another year, homie! Yeah!'”
