A Day in the Life Of A Haute SOMA Stylist
  • Sonya Molodetskaya
  • Nobody in San Francisco does it quite like her. As one of the most recognizable personalities, Sonya Molodetskaya has become something of a fashion icon of San Francisco. Often described as a volcanic fashion explosion, risk taker and fashion maverick, Sonya starred in many publications such as Town and Country, San Francisco Magazine, SF Chronicle's style section, Nob Hill Gazette, 7X7 Magazine and Bay Fashion Magazine (the cover). She is often on the List of Best Dressed people in San Francisco, and is known for her head-turning outfits that mix runway pieces and luxury brands with lower-priced items. Being a trendsetter, Molodetskaya travels between NY and Paris Fashion Weeks, attending runway shows of the most recognizable designer brands: Dior, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Ungaro, Kenzo and many others. As she goes, she attracts the attention of the famous street-style photographers (Adam Katz Singing) and style blogs (Style.com, rachelzoe.com, whowhatwear.com, le21eme.com, etc). Even though fashion is her addiction, Sonya Molodetskaya doesn't limit herself to just that. A former Immigrant Rights Commissioner for SF, Sonya is an enthusiastic advocate against human trafficking and a participant in the "Not For Sale" campaign. She is part of many charitable causes including Help for Haiti, Family Builders, Rooms that Rock 4 Chemo and many others. In her Sonya And The City blog she invites us to be the part of her life, which is filled with the most interesting events and people.
