The Tate Modern, located on the site of the former Bankside Power station, is home to some of the world’s most iconic modern art. The gallery space, designed by renowned Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, provides an industrial backdrop to pieces from artists including Mark Rothko, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. The work of British artist Damien Hirst is also featured prominently at the Tate, and until September a survey of his work will be on exhibit.
