Haute Happenings In Boston This Weekend You Won’t Want To Miss

The weekend is finally here, so to celebrate, we have rounded up some haute events you won’t want to miss. From a champagne toast over at the Mandarin Oriental to a formal party at the Castle at Park Plaza, here are a few excuses to leave the house.

If you are looking for a haute celebration, tomorrow night the fourth annual Fall Formal is being held at The Castle at Park Plaza to raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Don your most stylish formal wear and be prepared for a fun night with some of Boston’s young professionals. Since inception, the event has raised more than $250,000 for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Mandarin Oriental, Boston is now serving up a festive Champagne Afternoon Tea in its lobby starting this weekend. Take a break from shopping in Back Bay and start off with a champagne toast or try one of their signature champagne cocktails like a Citrus Fizz, Winter Warlock or Sage Advice and enjoy some finger sandwiches (think Waldorf chicken salad, smoked salmon with dill cream, deviled egg salad and a honeyed-apricot and goat cheese) or pastries like warm house-made cranberry scones served with Devonshire cream, strawberry preserves and a zesty orange curd. Chef Differ has created a children’s menu inspired by MiMO, the hotel’s resident elf, featuring hot cocoa served with a choice of milk or dark chocolate melting pops, accompanied by a trio of fluffy homemade marshmallows and a peppermint stick candy cane straw. Reservations are recommended.

If shopping is on your mind, head over to Copley Place and check out Tiffany & Co.‘s new home and accessories collection. This haute collection was born out of the notion that beautiful things should not be limited to special occasions. Keep an eye out for the gorgeous sterling silver, vermeil and crystal objects shown above.
