Hublot strikes again! Launching yet another epic collaboration during Art Basel Miami Beach (this week!), the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer—with the slogan “Hublot Loves Art”—debuted the Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey in sensational fashion. VIP guests enjoyed a private cocktail party, followed by an intimate dinner and art talk with some of the biggest names in modern art, including Shepard Fairey himself, street artist Tristan Eaton, photojournalist Martha Cooper and street art authority Evan Pricco.

The Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey of course uses Hublot’s signature style with its in-house manual movement, a gear-driven mechanical aesthetic and a 10-day power reserve. Fairey’s “STAR GEAR” logo is visible at 3 o’clock, making it also quintessentially, Shepard Fairey.

As guests arrived to the expansive, waterfront private estate currently on offer from Jeff Miller Group on Palm Island, they were greeted by flutes of Champagne and cocktails, as well as passed appetizers, courtesy of Zuma. The gorgeous space also housed vitrines with Hublot timepieces, including Shepard Fairey’s creation with the brand.

Shortly thereafter, they were seated on the other side of the home for a gorgeous dinner, overlooking the ocean. Guests enjoyed Zuma’s signature dishes, including Tuna Tartare, Beef Tataki, Chicken Yakitori, Seabass Sashimi, Australian Wagyu Tomahawk, Roasted Lobster and Mushroom Hotpot. Before beginning the dinner service, Hublot President Jean-François Sberro took to the front of the room to introduce himself, as well as Hublot Global CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, who thanked Shepard Fairey for his contribution to the art world and for his partnership with the brand. “Hublot and Shepard share a unique vision, and their disruptive approach to their art is consistently first, different, and unique – a philosophy that explains the core of our brand. Hublot is excited to join forces with icons in the world of art as we bring our shared passion to life in the form of a panel discussion to close our week of exciting events.”

Fairey then addressed the crowd, explaining what drew him to the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer and speaking specifically to his new watch and its design features. “Hublot is approaching watch design and collaborations from unexpected angles,” began Fairey. “Tonight’s art talk here in Miami why my friends Tristan Eaton and Martha Cooper will invite everyone into a unique conversation inspired by our craft. I always thought I’d admire art and be a spectator in the culture but to be in the eye of the hurricane and fusing my art with Hublot is really special.”

After the art talk with the panelists—moderated by Sberro himself, who provided compelling questions—guests enjoyed an exciting afterparty into the night, where Shepard Fairey provided the background beats from the third-floor DJ booth and specialty cocktails made with Belvedere Vodka.
