Global reggaeton sensation Wisin is currently traveling the country on the Corona Estéreo Beach Tour, gracing the stages of venues in the U.S. to put on a can’t-miss show for the superstar’s loyal fans. Traveling from Boston, to Chicago and the upcoming Miami stop, Wisin will wrap up in Dallas. The show is sure to be unforgettable, first and foremost being that Wisin is one of the greatest Latin artists of the moment. But also because it will be his last show as a soloist before he embarks on his joint Puerto Rico tour, returning with Yandel, starting December 2018.
Wisin was the perfect fit to headline a tour of this caliber due to many factors. “Corona has a history of bringing together world-renowned artists and beach vibes for music fans across the U.S. to enjoy. The relationship with Wisin, which began in 2011, allows us to continue the equity that the brand has with music while reaching a core shared audience—urban Latino music lovers,” explained Ann Legan, Vice President of Brand Marketing for Corona.

In light of all the excitement happening, Haute Living sat down with the superstar himself, to find out more and discuss the significance of the tour, as well as what’s coming next for the star:
HL: What is it like approaching your last show as a solo artist before your eight sold-out concerts with Yandel in Puerto Rico and a tour together next year?
W: It feels good—I love my solo shows and also love performing with Yandel, the energy is exhilarating—what makes this extra special is that the Corona Estéreo Beach concerts will allow me to have a more intimate experience with my fans, as they are being held in smaller venues with a very cool and festive vibe. So, it feels good that I can get closer to the audience for my last solo shows this year before the Wisin & Yandel tour.
HL: What do you look forward to as you join the Puerto Rico tour with Yandel?
W: I look forward to the great energy Yandel and I have on stage and the amazing energy from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico audiences. So far eight shows are sold out and we can’t wait to give back to all of our fans with a great concert tour full of many surprises. And of course, playing in our island is always something extraordinary, all our friends, family and music colleagues will be there.
HL: You parted ways with Yandel and both had exceptional solo careers. Is there a specific reason you’re deciding to partner up again?
W: Yes, we have been blessed to have done very well as solo artists, but we are really doing this as a response from the fans. They have been asking for a joint tour and more music together, so we are going to give it to them. Thankfully, we have always remained close and it is an easy and natural transition for us.
What do you think attracts international listeners to this music that don’t speak the language?
W: The reggaeton beat is so danceable that one cannot help but want to move and enjoy it when you listen to it. It is a guaranteed party—as I say “Rumba garantizada,” when you hear it.
