Breast Cancer Awareness month is in full swing, and many of Miami’s hottest destinations are coming up with special dining and drinking offers, as well as special events, to raise money or awareness to support the cause. Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness month with La Petite Maison’s new pink-themed dessert. In support of Susan G. Komen, La Petite Maison will offer a special dessert, Buttermilk Panna Cotta with Poached Raspberries, throughout the month of October. All revenue generated from the dessert ($11.50) will directly benefit Komen’s efforts.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach partners for its 10th year with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Health System to co-host the annual Bleau Goes Pink campaign in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This October, the resort is offering several month-long dining, spa and room promotions in which a percentage of the proceeds will benefit breast cancer research, treatment and care at Sylvester, South Florida’s leader in breast cancer diagnosis, and raise awareness for the cause.

To launch this year’s Bleau Goes Pink campaign, Fontainebleau will illuminate the iconic Chateau building in pink to honor those who have battled and been affected by breast cancer and those dedicated to finding a cure for the disease. In support of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Fontainebleau is offering programming for guests that will contribute to the center’s cause, including rejuvenating spa treatments at Lapis Spa, pre-fix menus at its signature restaurants, Scarpetta by Scott Conant, StripSteak by Michael Mina and Hakkasan, and a luxurious accommodations package.

  • STAY FOR THE CURE: From $579++ per night—for every package booked, 10-percent of the proceeds will be donated to Sylvester
  • DINE FOR THE CURE: All restaurants at the resort will be offering special prix-fixe menus at $55/person including an appetizer, entree, dessert and a glass of rosé—$5 from each menu ordered will be donated to Sylvester

For the month of October, the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Miami will be teaming up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation in their #MOGoesPink campaign with special activations. On October 20th from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., they’ll be hosting their #MOGoesPink Event in partnership with SoulCycle and Lululemon. Guests will have three wellness options: a singing bowl session, an “Off the Mat” class and a yoga class. Refreshments will be offered by Juicera. The classes will be open to the public. While the event is complimentary, there is a suggested donation of $10 to benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation. Additionally, MO Bar + Lounge will be donating 50-percent of proceeds from their special The Pink Lady cocktail.

MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Miami Design District will be hosting special initiatives to benefit the cause including the Third Annual Fashion Fights Cancer Event at the Miami Design District on October 12th, 2018. Fashion visionary and breast cancer survivor Angeles Alumna launched the event to commemorate her battle with cancer to give hope to all those who are suffering from cancer or have lost a loved one to cancerThis year’s ticketed event will benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation and honor breast cancer survivor, fashion stylist and consultant, Ann Caruso. Not only does Ann have a stellar background in fashion working with top fashion publications and A-list celebrities, but she is also an ambassador of the highest rated breast cancer organization in the US, the Brest Cancer Research Foundation. Komen Foundationsbe’s Shore Club South Beach is inviting guests and locals to toast for a cause with their specialty Pink Warrior cocktail in hand. This limited-time gin-based cocktail, mixed with berry puree, will be available for purchase throughout the entire month of October at Shore Club’s resident bars and restaurants including Diez y Seis, Skybar and Rum Bar by the pool. Shore Club will donate a portion from the sales of each hand-crafted pink creation to help support the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
