The annual gastronomic celebration that is the New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (NYCWFF) returns to the Big Apple October 11 – 14 with a premier line-up of more than 80 events taking place across New York for its 11th edition.
Since its inception, the festival’s mission to EAT. DRINK. END HUNGER. has raised more than $11 million to benefit the hunger-relief organizations No Kid Hungry® and Food Bank For New York City, due, in part, to the popularity of its signature tasting events that take place throughout the weekend. The opening event for the 11th annual Festival will be a special celebration on the rooftop of Pier 92 honoring the women who are changing the game both in and out of the kitchen.
This kick-off event, Supper is Served: A Tasting featuring Tarana Burke, Giada De Laurentiis, Alex Guarnaschelli, Katie Lee, Rachael Ray and Friends, will take place on Thursday, October 11 and feature powerful performances by Billboard country chart-topper and multi-time Grammy Award-nominee Martina McBride and Natasha Bedingfield.
Iconic tasting events continue on the rooftop of Pier 92 throughout the weekend, including the fan-favorite Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray on Friday, October 12. Once again more than 30 of New York City’s top chefs will battle it out for burger supremacy – with both the Blue Moon People’s Choice Award and Pat LaFrieda’s 2018 NYCWFF Burger Bash® Champion title, as judged by a panel lead by David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris, up for grabs.

Friday night also features a brand-new NYCWFF event: Truffle Takeover presented by Urbani Truffles hosted by “Foodgōd” Jonathan Cheban. Enjoy inventive, indulgent dishes from the best chefs in NYC, each incorporating the earthy, flavorful and aromatic truffle. Perfectly paired wine and spirits along with lively tunes will serve as the perfect complement to this upscale tasting with the trendiest ingredient around.
The weekend designed for gourmands continues on Saturday, October 13 with Drag Brunch hosted by Countess Luann de Lesseps. De Lesseps will be joined by NYC’s drag queen superstars, Marti Cummings, FiFi DuBois, Brita Filter and Jan Sport, who will perform their ultimate showstoppers for the liveliest brunch around. That night guests should hit up Food Network’s Rooftop Birthday Party hosted by Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay and Ina Garten. More than 25 of NYC’s best chefs and restaurants will be on hand serving up delicious dishes and desserts atop our scenic Pier 92 rooftop, where the breathtaking New York City skyline will serve as the ultimate celebratory backdrop.
