New England Patriots Linebacker and Super Bowl Champion Kyle Van Noy will be serving up dinner at an exclusive event at Herb Chambers Rolls-Royce Motor Cars New England next Monday. The haute celebrity server event, which will benefit the Van Noy Valor Foundation for local foster children, will have 15-20 NFL players from the New England Patriots serving 125 guests a four-course dinner from Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in Boston.
Foster care has been a personal mission for Van Noy and his family. (Kyle was adopted as an infant and his wife’s father and younger brother were both adopted as well). Proceeds from the event will help purchase 600 new winter coats, toys, books, coloring books and special holiday stuffed animals for Boston-area foster children, and provide 253 area foster families with live Christmas trees, stands, and all the trimmings this holiday season.
We caught up recently with #53 to talk about his celebrity server night, where he likes to dine out and the best thing about being on the New England Patriots.

Foster care has been a special personal mission for you. Tell us a little about the event you are hosting on October 15 and why this is so near and dear to your heart.
On October 15, we will be hosting our biggest fundraiser, our second annual celebrity server night. It’s awesome to be able to give back and spread love in the world, and give someone an opportunity that they might not necessarily have. The evening is really fun and interactive. We will be serving four courses this year from seafood to ribs and steaks. The players will all be your servers for the night. I didn’t drop any food last year (laughs). We are really excited to be working with Herb Chambers and all the people at Rolls-Royce. Everyone who attended last year’s event loved getting to know their celebrity servers and having their dinner served to them by pro football players.
What are some of your favorite restaurants in Boston?
Abe & Louie’s, Mastro’s, Amber Road Cafe in Canton, Farmer’s Daughter in Easton, Luciano’s, The Capital Grille in Chestnut Hill and Saus near Faneuil Hall.
After being personally attacked on “Felger & Mazz” (98.5 The Sports Hub) for no apparent reason, you handled it with class and extended an invitation to them to your event. Have you heard back from them?
Of course not, but they are more than welcome to come to the event and check out what we are doing.
What have you learned the most from Bill Belichick?
Bill’s a unique person. He has been an amazing coach for me. I always feel like I owe him because he took a chance on me when no one else did. I can’t pinpoint one thing that I have learned from him, but I have really learned the ins and outs of football. It’s just amazing to be around football players like Dont’a Hightower, Patrick Chung and Devin McCourty.
Thoughts on this year’s team?
We have a really good opportunity. We are getting things in order to win games. There is always a learning curve at the beginning of the season, but we just keep it moving.
Best thing about being on the New England Patriots?
Winning (laughs). I would say just being around a group of guys that love the game the game of football as much as they love winning.
