Cheese boards, a Beacon Hill address and delicate presentations by Boston’s beloved chef Barbara Lynch and her team are just a few reasons we love this flagship restaurant. Italian and French fare served up with a haute view of Boston Common are the name of the game here where you can choose from an a la carte menu or opt for the six-course chef’s tasting to linger a little longer (yes, please) complete with a pairing of luxury wines. (The prune-stuffed gnocchi paired with a bottle of NV Louis Roederer “Carte Blanche” Demi Sec is one of our favorites).

This chic farmhouse style bistro brought to us by Chef Jason Bond offers an intimate setting complete with brick fireplace, oak banquettes and creative fare. The daily ever changing menu of food and wine pairings takes diners on a culinary journey of some of the region’s freshest fare. There are just 28 seats for you and 13 other couples to enjoy an intimate dining experience. Look for courses like sake and yuzu marinated melon, dip-net Columbia River king salmon and chocolate star anise pot de creme.

Sorellina

A Back Bay locale complete with white tablecloth setting and soaring windows that overlook the nearby hustle and bustle of the shops at Copley Place and the Prudential Center, Sorellina provides the perfect romantic respite. Try a sampling of crudo to share with your special date or try a tasting of the burrata. From there, move onto the Maine halibut with lobster mushrooms, bone-in veal chop Milanese or 14-ounce ribeye to make the evening even more memorable.

High atop the Prudential Center sits Boston’s favorite spot for a proposal. The Back Bay standout might be *the* most romantic restaurant in town. From 52 floors up, you can see all the way from South Boston to Cambridge and beyond. Even on a cloudy day, the view here is spectacular. Share a charcuterie board or start off with an aphrodisiac of briny bivalves to start the night off right. After dinner, be sure to head over to the adjacent lounge area to enjoy some live music while taking in the impressive one-of-a-kind view.

Il Molo

Seafood lovers are already in the know about this haute, modern, sexy space in the North End. Owned by Donato Frattaroli, this cozy restaurant dishes out some impressive fare. We told you last month about their hot towers overflowing with grilled shrimp, steamed mussels and oysters Rockefeller. When it comes to sneaking away for some romance, we come here for the raw bar cold tower filled with lobster, clams, oysters and shrimp made even better with the addition of an uber fresh crudo sampling.
