1 Hotel South Beach Rolls Out Exciting New Food & Beverage Programs

The 1 Hotel South Beach is not only one of Miami’s most gorgeous and hip hotels, but it’s also one of the most diverse in its gourmet culinary offerings. With multiple dining and drinking concepts, it offers something different at each of its destinations including its rooftop hot spot, WATR, the hotel’s signature restaurant Habitat by José Mendín, the on-site healthy restaurant Plnthouse, and the DRIFT Lobby Bar. While these beloved concepts continue to stun us with inventive plates and creative libations, it’s always good to change things up, and that’s exactly what they’re doing this fall as they introduce new menus and programming at Watr, Habitat and DRIFT. Here’s everything you need to know:

HABITAT

The fan-favorite Habitat by José Mendín restaurant is known for its Spanish-inspired plates and beautiful craft cocktail program. Now, they’re stepping things up with the new addition of the Casa Florida Cocktail Bar Pop-Up on site. While the hip Casa Florida Cocktail Club undergoes beautification in downtown Miami, the party will continue in South Beach as it takes over Habitat. The original Casa Florida Cocktail Club debuted in 2017 along the Miami River, drawing in a loyal clientele coming for their decadent, handcrafted cocktails that utilize fresh juices and local ingredients in a variety of forms, from “Vintage Cocktails”—classic cocktails with a Casa Florida twist—to refreshing, tasty Slushy drinks. Additionally, guests can munch on bar bites from a specially curated menu including Empanadas, Truffle Wedge Fries, Duck Flatbread and more. And for those missing the original location, don’t fret—the pop-up will mirror the energy of the Riverside hot spot, maintaining its trademark flamingo neon sign, bright pink lighting and a host of local DJs to keep the party going from Thursdays-Sundays, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

Additionally, Habitat has launched its newest programming—Rosé with José—taking place on the second Sunday of every month. This special edition brunch features—of course—bottomless of rosé, as well as a delicious brunch menu created by chef Mendín and beats by DJ Yissel to bring guests the ultimate brunch experience. Bottomless rosé starts at $19/person, with the option of a higher tiered rosé for more. Guests who decide to attend also receive a complimentary beach chair at the 1 Hotel South Beach’s famed beach for the day. Next one: Sunday, Oct. 14; 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

WATR

WATR is one of the best rooftop bars in all of Miami—and now, the 1 Hotel is ensuring you can enjoy it all year long, no matter what the weather, with its new retractable roof that can protect guests in any climate. Additionally, in tandem with the rooftop’s physical transformation, WATR is also featuring a brand-new menu with delicious Japanese and South American-inspired dishes. Highlights include a diverse selection of Crudos including the Corvina Ceviche, as well as handcrafted sushi rolls and assorted antichuchos, or “Pinchos,” including Shrimp served with salted sherry honey brussels sprouts and Gluten-free Chicken served with sweet potato puree and aji panca. Pair these dishes with drinks from the newly-revitalized cocktail menu curated by Beverage Director Steven Minor featuring cocktails, boozy slushies, large-format sangrias and margaritas that are perfect to enjoy while lounging by the pool in a private cabana or kicking off the night at the bar as the sun sets.

DRIFT LOBBY BAR

The 1 Hotel South Beach’s lobby area is not only strikingly beautiful, but also a happening scene to be on the last Thursday of every month for their special Organic Beats programming. Here, guests can listen to living room vinyl session sounds by DJ Yissel at the lobby bar, DRIFT, and enjoy signature cocktails and bites. Highlights include the Truffle Wedge Fries, Tuna Poke and Margherita Flatbread as well as the Lemongrass + Ginger Caipirinha and Spanish G+T to drink.
