O-Ku’s New Executive Chef Jordan Smith Debuts Curated Food Experience

O-Ku is an upscale restaurant that serves the most palatable Japanese cuisine in a sultry environment. After the success of its Charleston’s location, O-Ku descended upon the bustling West Midtown’s Westside Ironworks district in Atlanta and within two years has become a premium destination for sushi and seafood alike. The restaurant is actually slightly tucked away behind a few buildings, but its semi-secluded spot only gives you a hint of what to expect once you enter inside.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting; the sexy, dim lighting makes for an elegant setting with a touch of Japanese elements. Guests have the option of enjoying the ambiance in their dining room complete with a sizable bar or on the rooftop patio that displays a clear, picturesque view of the city skyline.

The extensive menu features an array of sophisticated sushi and other seafood options that come from the finest fish markets in Tokyo and Hawaii that are guaranteed to leave you feeling happy and satisfied.

Standout dishes include the Rock Shrimp Tempura, O-Ku Karrage Oysters with kimchi tarter sauce, Potato Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Black Magic Roll. Their diverse menu also includes beef and vegetarian options giving everyone a chance to enjoy a complete dining experience.

With great food, must come drinks and O-Ku delivers on that as well. Their signature drinks include, but aren’t limited to their Sugar and Spice cocktail which is made up of passion fruit puree and habanero, Sakura cocktail, which is a sake-based drink and Birddog, which has a refreshing taste thanks to the mint and Aloe Vera infused inside. Not to mention a dessert menu that includes a White Chocolate Kiwi Mousse that makes a perfect ending to such a delectable meal.

Overall, O-Ku can best be described as traditional Japanese cuisine with a southern twist that gives it that unique flavor. Located at 1085 Howell Mill Road Suite A3 Atlanta, GA 30318, O-Ku offers guests a variety of ways to enjoy their hospitality such as happy hour on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm-7pm or late night on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm-1pm. But no matter when you visit O-Ku you can always expect a remarkable time.
