This summer, take a romantic tour of Italy at the AAA Five Diamond Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
The Italian-inspired seasonal display at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens incorporates hanging lanterns, manicured gardens, Venetian chandeliers, cypress trees, lemons topiaries and enormous tiered fountains. Created by designer Ed Libby and more than 125 people on Bellagio’s Horticulture team, the dreamy display of Italian beauty is aptly entitled “That’s Amoré.”

Among the display, a canopy of lemon tree branches guides visitors down a path to a four-tiered, eight-foot fountain evoking the popular engagement spot Da Paolino Restaurant in Capri. At the center, a 22-foot, vine-covered fountain pays tribute to the site of many wedding celebrations, The Fontana dell’Ovato of Villa d’Este in Tivoli.
Whimsical lemons made from 1,400 bright yellow and white flowers surround the serene scene.

Burgundy velvet curtains frame another garden bed scene as a colorful mandolin-playing floral troubadour welcomes guests to the legendary Teatro alla Scala, an opera house in Milan where many of the world’s most famous singers have performed. The scene continues with a duo of trumpeter swans floating peacefully next to a flowing fountain and a romantic picnic set up for two.
While natural light shines through the conservatory’s glass-covered ceiling during the day, hanging lanterns and Murano-inspired crystal chandeliers add a romantic glow in the evening.

The exhibit also features a tranquil lake, a handcrafted vase and multiple lion and monkey sculptures streaming water from a foliage-covered wall meant to resemble The Hundreds Fountain at Villa d’Este. An eight-foot-long majolica-tiled bench rests on the lake’s edge and is based on a similar bench found in the Gardens of Augustus in Capri.
Open 24 hours a day, the conservatory’s summer display will rotate through 57,000 flowers before it goes out of bloom, making room for the Harvest display in September.
