With so many Grammy winners and living legends currently performing or soon-to-appear on Sin City’s stages, one might consider 2018 as the year of the Vegas residency. Between The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood and Park Theater at The Park Las Vegas, the city is brimming with world-class headliners. Here are nine Las Vegas residencies you won’t want to miss in 2018.
Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl

She may be “just a girl,” but she’s a girl with three Grammy awards and more than 30 million albums sales worldwide. Now the fashionable Gwen Stefani also has a Las Vegas residency. The Stefani spectacular is performed in true Vegas style with tons of dancers and flashy costumes. Expect to hear many No Doubt hits including “Hollaback Girl,” “Sweet Escape” and “What You Waiting For.”
Additionally, the multi-platinum recording artist, along with Live Nation Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment, are donating $1 of every ticket sale to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars added more dates to his previous Las Vegas residency, meaning fans have another chance to catch the four-time Grammy winner in Las Vegas. The best-selling superstar will take a break from his 24K Magic World Tour and bring a little “uptown funk” to the City of Entertainment for three days this month.
“Bruno is among the most talented performers in the world and we are excited to start a long-term relationship with him across our industry-leading portfolio of entertainment venues,” said Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts International.
Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life

You may have caught The Backstreet Boys on “Good Morning America” the other day, but it’s not quite the same as seeing them live in person in Las Vegas. One of the city’s fastest-selling shows, it incorporates cutting-edge special FX, elaborate video technology and choreography by some of LA’s top choreographers.
Band members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson will perform their “Larger Than Life” production through April 2019.
Stevie Wonder – A Celebration of Life, Love & Music

Legendary singer, songwriter, musician & producer Stevie Wonder, 68, will perform his hits like “Isn’t She Lovely,” “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” and “Superstition” during a limited-time engagement in August. With 25 Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Wonder is one of the most-awarded male solo artists and has sold over 100 million records worldwide.
Wonder has described his show as a celebration of life, love and music during particularly troubling times.
Lionel Richie – All The Hits

Multi-platinum-selling artist and four-time Grammy-winner Lionel Richie returns to the Vegas stage in August to wrap up his exclusive headlining residency. Hits like “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “Stuck on You” and “Say You, Say Me,” will have you dancing on the ceiling during this critically-acclaimed, state-of-the-art production covering Richie’s timeless musical career.
Mariah Carey: “The Butterfly Returns”

The best-selling female artist of all time with over 200 million records sold, Mariah Carey, is back in Las Vegas with an all-new headlining residency, “The Butterfly Returns.” Backed by a four-piece live band, three backup singers and seven dancers, the Grammy-winning songstress shows off her five-octave vocal range with hits like “Honey,” “Vision of Love, “Emotions” and “We Belong Together.”
The “Songbird Supreme” is full of surprises. On opening night, for instance, the show included an appearance by her two children, Monroe and Moroccan. Last week she stopped her show to invite one of her backup dancers into the spotlight and he subsequently popped the question to his boyfriend (He said, “yes.”). A few lucky audience members may find themselves up on stage as well.
Queen + Adam Lambert: The Crown Jewels

Queen and Adam Lambert are set to rock Sin City for a limited time this fall, starting on September 1, the city’s official Queen Day (as declared by former Mayor Oscar Goodman in 2004). Originally led by legendary vocalist Freddie Mercury, the landmark British rock group showed the world that they’re still the champions of classic rock by teaming up with American Idol alum Lambert in 2009.
Upon announcing “The Crown Jewels” show, Queen guitarist Brian May said: “We’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge … to dazzle Vegas.” Drummer Roger Taylor noted that he’s “looking forward to rocking the Strip” and Lambert added: “I’m so excited to help share ‘The Crown Jewels’ with the Strip. You’ll be humming them all night!”
Cher – Classic Cher

When it comes to the classics, not many have aged better than Cher. At 72 years young, the worldwide superstar will be back to wow Las Vegas audiences in October. Launching her career in the 1960s as part of Sonny & Cher, this musical veteran was performing in Vegas back when some current resident performers were still in diapers. Her show, “Classic Cher” has been seen in both in Vegas and Washington, D.C. and includes hits like “Woman’s World,” “I Got You Babe,” “The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s in His Kiss),” “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Believe.”
An Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning legend, she has sold more than 100 million records and currently appears in the film “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”

One of the best-selling musicians of all time, Lady Gaga ends 2018 in Vegas with a glamorous and gaudy bang when she kicks off her extended 74-show engagement in December. In the meantime, you can always practice your poker face by snapping selfies with Lady Gaga’s wax figure over at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.
“We have all been wowed by Lady Gaga’s raw talent, but the passion, commitment, and creativity she is prepared to bring to this engagement will truly be transformational…Las Vegas, get ready to become the Entertainment Capital of the Universe,” said Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts International, when the residency was announced earlier this year.
