I’m en route to Europe for clay season and won’t see stateside sunsets for many weeks. As much as I love traversing the globe—winding down narrow European cobblestone streets for a tasty pastry, popping into a museum to take in the classics or walking amongst the beautiful, towering European architecture—I do find peace, solace and comfort in the crashing waves of the Pacific and the iconic shops that make Los Angeles one of my favorite cities.

Thankfully, some treasures from L.A. (like my rings and necklaces from Broken English!) get to come along with me as I travel. Here is a roundup of some of my favorite places in L.A. that I just love.

Tomoko Spa — When I want to relax, decompress and Zen-out, I head to Tomoko Spa in Beverly Hills—the most exquisite Japanese spa experience.

Broken English Jewelry Shop Thoughtful, curated, delicate—just a few words to describe the beautiful simplicity of Broken English pieces… that I just adore! I love the mix of contemporary and vintage chic, and the store’s commitment to supporting the artistry and craftsmanship of leading designers.

Gum Tree Gift Shop — Just a couple of blocks from the iconic Manhattan Beach Pier, this place is everything you want in a bright and cozy seaside gift shop: globally sourced gifts, home décor, artisan goods, beautiful jewelry, eclectic books… all my faves!

TabUla Rasa Essentials — My go-to in Manhattan Beach for gifts and goodies including Sugarpova. Owner and buyer Maureen McBride personally hand-picks every piece in the store, with a discerning eye that uncovers emerging talent alongside well-established brands and designers.

Tortoise General Store — For Japanese ceramics and tea, my favorite spot in Venice is Tortoise General Store. The guiding philosophy behind this unique little shop is all about preserving the “slow and steady” life, with all of the products and exhibits influenced or inspired by Japan.

FelixSitting around a table at Felix with friends, sharing antipasti and sipping wine is just about the best way to kick back and enjoy L.A. when back in town. I can’t wait to be back in a few more weeks.
