If you want a lively Cinco De Mayo fiesta, then look no further than South Beach’s famed Mexican speakeasy, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila. This year, they’re going all-out for the occasion from 3-9 p.m. with a Cinco De Mayo Block Party—a rare occurrence in Miami Beach—ranging from Alton Road to Alton Court. Here, partiers can enjoy a blowout fiesta, complete with live music, mariachi bands, face painting, a photo booth and more. In addition to the delicious offerings of Bodega, guests can also indulge in food truck bites from Ms. Cheezious, Mr. Goodstuff, Opita Greek and Dolci Peccati, as well as craft beers from J Wakefield Brewing, MIA Brewing, Stone Brewing and Civil Society Brewing. For those bold enough to enter, they’ll also be hosting a Bodega Taco Eating Contest beginning at 3:30 p.m., where participants have the chance to win the $1,000 grand prize.
