Karl Lagerfeld made a scene and flash-mobbed all of Paris, not solely to remind the world of who is the greatest at creating spectacular presentations, but to celebrate the launch of his first-ever beauty collection. He partnered with ModelCo to create a gorgeous limited edition (one drop stock only!) color cosmetics collection that will feature a range of innovative beauty products. The products combine ModelCo’s high-quality formulas and innovative, technical packaging with Karl Lagerfeld’s artistic aesthetic that is sophisticated, modern and cool.

Channelling the theme of “Illuminated Beauty” the KARL LAGERFELD + ModelCo collection includes more than 50 beauty products for face, eyes and lips, plus accessories. The packaging of the Lip Lights, Lip Balm and Brush Sets all feature a Karl Lagerfeld head silhouette. This was brought to life through the use of funky helmets on the models “beauty butlers” that made up the flash mob. They travelled to all the iconic landmarks throughout Paris — including the Eiffel Tower, Les Tuileries, Champs Elysées, Saint-Germain-des-Près, Montparnasse and Opéra — all wearing custom-designed helmets with a 3D cartoon of Karl Lagerfeld.

The butlers’ final performance took place at Place Vendôme in front of the Hotel D’Evreux where the official launch event took place. The entire space was transformed with hot pink décor and installations.

The KARL LAGERFELD + ModelCo collection is available through KARL LAGERFELD stores and MODELCO.COM and key exclusive retailers: Nordstrom in the US, Douglas, Nocibe, Cult Beauty and Galeries Lafayette in Europe, and select retailers in the Middle East.
This collection is truly a collectible. Products retail between $12 for the lip balm to $58 for the brush set.
