Luxury Jewelry & Timepiece House Jacob & Co. Flagship Boutique Reopening On New York’s Billionaire’s Row

When you think of high-end jewelry and watches, Jacob & Co. is definitely one of, if not the first that comes to mind. Led by Founder and President, Jacob Arabo, the famed boutique is set to reopen its flagship store location on Manhattan’s 57th Street between Park and Madison Avenues—an area known as Billionaire’s Row.

The newly renovated, 10,000 square foot boutique will surely be nothing short of extraordinary, given the brand’s reputation for precision, innovation and quality. Arabo adopted the nickname “Jacob the Jeweler” after receiving acclaim from a diverse group of celebrity clientele, which included David and Victoria Beckham, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Madonna, Pharrell, Jay-Z and Beyoncé. In addition to offering a selection of unique and one-of-a-kind jewelry, Jacob & Co. also creates some of the world’s most coveted luxury timepieces, with its watchmaking headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. A boutique dedicated to the brand’s timepiece offerings is located in Dubai, while boutiques in select retail partners are available in London, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Though Arabo first opened the New York flagship doors 14 years ago, the brand has been around for over 35 years and has flourished, worldwide. “After focusing much of our effort on product development and overseas expansion, it was time to come back to the place where it all started and show New York City how much we’ve grown,” began Arabo. “The design of the new boutique takes clients on a journey throughout our collections, while offering them the same excitement they would feel upon discovering one of our new timepieces or jewelry items.”

The approximately year-long renovation was spearheaded by Arabo himself, who worked closely with Design Studio Romani‘s Roman Vnoukov on its architecture and design. Design elements from Arabo’s collections are prevalent in the overall aesthetic. For instance, the building façade and the boutique ceiling has a geometric pattern, reminiscent of the 2016 Jacob & Co. Astronomia Meteorite watch, while the immediately visible center showcase reflects the sapphire dome casing, also from the Astronomia collection.
