A Look Inside G2O’s Newly Expanded Shimmering Spa

Beauty and wellness has been at the forefront of G2O Spa + Salon‘s successful philosophy since they opened their doors more than two decades ago on Newbury Street. Recently, CEO and founder Joyce Hampers made the decision to move to Exeter Street, just two blocks from their original space to a shimmering expanded three-story, 17,000-square foot space.

“At G2O Spa + Salon, we believe that your lifestyle shouldn’t be a luxury, but a holistic balance of modern elegance and health and wellness, which is why our mission has always been to create a one-stop oasis for all needs while offering the most innovative spa and salon services,” Hampers said. “We’re really excited for guests to experience our new relocated space which is designed to optimize the guest’s experience and features new, never seen before treatments that connect the mind, body and spirit in a tranquil, sleek and sophisticated setting.”

The haute new location at 33 Exeter Street in Boston’s Back Bay seeks to provide that much-needed oasis that Bostonians need to escape the stresses of everyday life. Here, they are offering new services and relaxation areas in a tranquil setting – similar to what they had before, but better.

From the latest in skincare technology and beauty trends to exclusive services ranging from guided virtual reality meditation, Boston’s only custom-built salt cave and flotation pod, there is also a fireside lounge and experience room along with a full retail shop.

There is a nail salon on the fourth floor with expanded private spa services located on the fifth. The expanded salon features more stylist stations as well as a permanent photo booth where clients can take before and after photos of their new hairdos, which can be emailed to them directly for easy sharing to social media channels.

In the spa, there is a custom-built Salt Cave, a first for any spa in Boston, with walls made from pure Himalayan Salt stones equipped with a halogenerator to cleanse and detoxify, a Salt Therapy Flotation Pod allowing guests to escape stresses while improving circulation and calming the nervous system, and new guided Virtual Reality Meditation. Be sure to keep an eye out for G2O’s signature Experience Room, which combines herbal infused steam with a refreshing ice fog and tropical shower.
