A Look At Last Night’s Haute Oscar Celebration

Last night, Boston hosted the hautest Oscar party on the East Coast at the Ellie Fund‘s 22nd Annual Red Carpet Gala at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. The event was hosted by Ed Harding, Maria Stephanos, Emily Riemer and Ben Simmoneau from WCVB Channel 5.

The Ellie Fund works to provide essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing them to focus on family, recovery and healing. They offer assistance with everything from transportation to medical appointments, childcare and housekeeping to, grocery assistance, nutritious prepared/delivered meals and integrative therapy services. All of the services are at no charge available to Massachusetts breast cancer patients residing in and/or receiving treatment through their Healing Together Patient and Family Care Program and Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Program.

Guests last night were able to sample food from various chef stations by BostonChefs.com with creations prepared by some of Boston’s best chefs. There were hosted bars featuring Peroni Nastro Azzurro, live and silent auctions with mobile bidding courtesy of Walmart, live music by master violinist Rhett Price and Louie Bello, along with a live telecast of the 90th Academy Awards on WCVB/ABC, and deluxe gift bags to take home.

Silent auction items included a Nantucket experience package, April Soderstrom’s pink inspired jewelry, a private shopping party at Alice and Olivia on Newbury Street and nutritional and grocery assistance to breast cancer patients.
