In honor of International Women’s Day tomorrow (March 8), we’ve rounded up some of the most incredible influential women who are doing great things in the world. These ladies are definitely ones to follow.

Jennifer Lopez

So today I spent the day in the Bronx at Yankee stadium with a very special group of people for a very impactful project called @projectdestined. The project teaches financial literacy to children in neighborhoods like I grew up in… so people from Harvard business school teach and mentor these kids on how to buy and own real estate and by the end of the program they own a part of a building in their own community in which the profits they make go toward their college educations…it shows them they have a choice they don’t have to be a tenant…you can be an owner!!! But it’s so much more than I could ever write here… it’s a game changer for anyone to be apart of this program! I am proud to be a part of it along with @arod (and if you look closely you will see a Supreme Court judge, Bronx Borough President, President of Blackstone, Yankee legend Mariano Rivera and so many more) here on a Sunday to be part of letting these kids know that anything is possible and sky is the limit!!! #todaywasagoodday #empoweringouryouth #empoweringourcommunity #givebacktime #mentorship

It’s safe to say that J.Lo is one of the hardest working women in Hollywood and she’s just as passionate about singing, dancing, and acting as she is about giving back. Currently, she’s working alongside her beau Alex Rodriguez with Project Destined, an education program that teaches kids financial literacy. The power couple also raised millions of dollars to rebuild Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria late last year.

Ellen DeGeneres

@JamieAnderson told me her Olympic secret. It’s frankincense. A post shared by Ellen (@theellenshow) on

In addition to being one of the funniest women ever, Ellen DeGeneres has a heart of gold. Kindness and spreading light is at the forefront of everything she does. One of the causes that is really near and dear to her is protecting wildlife. Her new Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund (which was a birthday gift from her wife Portia de Rossi) will enable her to continue making a difference and saving endangered species.

Michelle Obama

Former first lady Michelle Obama is an inspiration to us all. Not only is she is deeply passionate about creating change in the world, but she serves as an incredible role model for young girls everywhere. During her eight years in the White House, Obama established a legacy of her own founding initiatives that fight childhood obesity, empower young women to further their education, and so much more.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey is the definition of a power woman. We could be here for days listing all her amazing accomplishments and acts of generosity. Her mile-long list of acts of generosity include founding the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, which provides education for girls in South Africa.

Eva Longoria

Dear Monday, just hand me Friday and nobody gets hurt 🤣

Former Haute Living cover star Eva Longoria is a force to be reckoned with. She’s an actress, director, producer, activist, designer, and philanthropist. In addition to working her magic in front and behind the camera, Longoria founded the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012, which empowers Latinas. She’s also co-founded Eva’s Heroes, a nonprofit that helps children with developmental disabilities.
