She walked into Richard Quinn’s Fall 2018 Ready-to-wear presentation and everyone stood. Now that is a woman of immense power, elegance, and grace. Regardless of what the critics have to say.

To her right sat British Fashion Council Chief Executive Caroline Rush and to her left sat another queen in her own right Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour.

The eyes were on three of some of the most powerful and influential women in politics and fashion. So intense was the focus on them that people forgot who they were there to see: designer Richard Quinn.

Why Queen Elizabeth II chose Quinn’s show for her first ever appearance in London Fashion Week as opposed to other greats like Alexander McQueen, for one, is only something she can tell you.

Whatever the reason, based on her facial expressions, this may not be the last time she blesses London Fashion Week with her majesty’s presence.
