The Most Delicious Bars To Celebrate National Margarita Day In Boston

Next Thursday is going to be quite a fiesta here in Boston as we prepare to celebrate National Margarita Day. With temps projected to be in the 60s, there’s no better excuse to get out and celebrate. (In honor of National Margarita Day, and every day for that matter, we should mention Viva XXXII is donating 10 percent of their net product sales to animal shelters and charities that prevent animal abuse so you can keep the margarita love going all year long). Whether you prefer your margarita salted and on the rocks or no salt and kicked up with a little jalapeno, here’s a look at the most delicious bars to celebrate the special day.

Temazcal Tequila Cantina

Is there a better place to celebrate National Margarita Day than at a tequila cantina in the Seaport District? We thought not. This haute Mexican restaurant just keeps getting better as they continue their rapid expansion to the suburbs (we featured the Dedham location just a couple of weeks ago). Even though Valentine’s Day is over, Temazcal offers a sweet kiss in the form of a Besos Margarita, featuring Agavales Silver, St. Germain, fresh lemon juice, basil and strawberry puree.

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar

When a glass just won’t do, there are always pitchers of margaritas at Loco where things are always getting crazy. The neighborhood restaurant recently celebrated its three year anniversary, so to keep the party going, head here and order up an El Jefe with Peligros blanco tequila, house triple sec, fresh lime juice and a dash of agave. We also love their jalapeno-infused tequila found in the spiced up Little Devil margarita or sweeten things up a bit with the Blood Orange Creamsicle margarita.

Rosa Mexicano

Take a break from all of the shopping at Faneuil Hall and stop into Mija for a nice strong margarita. Try the simple La Bonita made with Avion silver tequila, fresh squeezed lime and agave nectar or the Fresa Verde, a sweeter version featuring Avion silver tequila, orange flavored liqueur, fresh squeezed lime, muddled strawberry and thyme.
